The birth certificate always needs to be authenticated at the Westchester County Clerk and unless it’s under a year old, is never guaranteed to qualify. If you’re not sure, please upload a photo when prompted.

FBI Background Checks are processed quickly at the New York State level using a "Document Authenticity Affidavit" and often a generic translation that you will sign to swear the document is the exact version sent to you. Currently, SWITZERLAND* will only accept your FBI document with a FEDERAL APOSTILLE. There may be an occasion where you will be asked to provide a FEDERAL APOSTILLE of this document. Would you like to add a Federal version as well? *

*We experienced one rejection from an immigration attorney in Portugal (May of 2022) for a dual citizen application, however the Federal Apostille submission immediately corrected the issue. Some law firms will not submit documents because they are unsure. We will explain this on a case-by-case basis.

KOREA and Philippines are notorious for requiring every page to have its own apostille cover page, while DOMINICAN REPUBLIC accepts unlimited assorted pages. Cost?
